This aquatic center is located on Chicago's north avenue beach. The form was created by lifting the existing site to enhance the already usable paths that are popular for strolling along lake Michigan.  The aquatics center architecture is positioned under the green roof canopy where it subtly peaks out at certain moments. The lifts and voids in the canopy allow for programming to fill the space where people can interact and enjoy the city views.
